After registration closes, bus routes will be created and shared with families, and class confirmation emails will be sent out.

  • Elementary Summer School is a great way for CPSD students to do some fun academic enrichments and still get home in time for more summer fun. At this time, elementary summer school is filled.

    Students who qualify

    Current students in grades 2-5 (2025-26 school year) from Custer, Dower, Four Heroes, Lake Louise, Lakeview, Park Lodge, Tillicum and Tyee Park elementary schools can now be enrolled.

    Important

    Regular attendance is important because this program is funded by a grant with strict attendance requirements. Enrollment is based on first come, first served basis by grade level.

  • Middle School Summer School  is a great way for CPSD students to strengthen their math, reading and writing. Students at Hudtloff, Lochburn, Thomas middle schools, and Harrison Prep (6-8) are invited to summer school at Harrison Prep.

    Classes

    This year’s middle school summer school will focus on reading, writign, and math. Students will read and discuss short stories and novels, write about their reading and solve math problems in a variety of contexts. Lessons are designed to support essential reading, writing and math content that students need to be successful in the next grade level.

  • Credit Retrival

    Credit retrieval is an online instructional model offered to Clover Park School District students currently in grades 10-11. Completed courses are equivalent to one semester of high school, earning 0.5 credits. Students may register for up to two courses.

    Courses Offered

    The following courses are offered in single semester increments for retrieving credit for courses that the student has previously failed.

    Attendance Policy

    Students are expected to attend daily until they have completed the class they registered for.

    Information

    Students register for one session:

    • Credit retrieval summer school is available to students currently residing in the Clover Park School District.
    • Students may enroll in up to 2 courses (one semester each) during summer school.
    • Students are expected to attend class sessions daily. They may complete a course at any time. Students are highly encouraged to continue their credit retrieval work at home pending available internet.
    • Students will receive the letter grade earned for each completed semester course at the end of summer school. No In-Progress (IP) grades will be assigned.
    • Students will receive a CPSD laptop to use for the summer and will be required to return the laptop upon completion of their program.
    • Space is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis.
    • Registration confirmations will be emailed and mailed to your home address on file at a later date. Please ensure your email and mailing addresses are accurate in your registration.
    • CLOSED CAMPUS: Summer school will take place at Harrison Prep and will be a closed campus. This means visitors, including food delivery services, are not allowed, and students may not leave campus for any reason, until their classes are over for the day.
    • GRADE REPORTS: A course completion certificate will be issued with the final grade and credits earned for each course completed. At the end of the summer school program, each student will receive a digital copy of their certificates via email. Please make sure that you include an accurate email address when you register. Copies of certificates will be sent to the student’s home school for final grades and credits earned to be added to official transcripts.
    • LIBRARY: Students needing library services must use the public library.
    • LEAVING SCHOOL WHEN CLASSES END: Students must leave the school grounds immediately after their classes end for the day. Parents/guardians are asked to pick students up promptly after class unless they are riding the bus/transit system.
    • TRANSPORTATION: CPSD bus transportation will be available to and from Summer school.

    ALL SCHOOL RULES APPLY DURING SUMMER SCHOOL

    Behavior and/or participation in activities that are distracting and/or not aligned with the goals of the Credit Retrieval Summer School program will result in dismissal from the program and lost opportunities for credit retrieval.
