CPSD Celebrates Excellence

Clover Park School District recognized the 2026 Employees of the Year during a celebratory ceremony at Clover Park High School on May 11.
The annual awards highlight the outstanding contributions of staff across three categories:
- Certificated: Christine Jones
- Classified: Nicole Dickson
- Administrative: Holly Nielsen
"Our employees are the heart of our school district," said Superintendent Ron Banner. "It is an honor to celebrate the quality and character of our staff who go above and beyond in service to our students, schools and community. Each of our winners demonstrates a dedication to excellence that makes a lasting, positive impact every single day."
This year’s recipients were selected from a pool of highly qualified nominees by an independent committee of Lakewood community members.
2026 Employees of the Year
Certificated: Christine Jones, third grade teacher, Dower Elementary School
Christine Jones leads with high expectations and a steadfast belief in every child’s potential. After more than 25 years at Dower, she has created a classroom where students feel valued, challenged and supported. Jones is known for her exceptional partnerships with families and her willingness to mentor colleagues and lead collaborative teams. Her commitment reaches far beyond the classroom and into the community she proudly serves, using thoughtful instruction to meet a wide range of student needs.
Classified: Nicole Dickson, paraeducator, Alfaretta
Nicole Dickson helps transition students build confidence and independence by turning community job sites into meaningful learning experiences. She has reshaped student opportunities to ensure each individual has access to purposeful, skill-building work. Her leadership is reflected in the high expectations she sets and the care she brings to supporting each student’s growth. Through programs like Employee of the Month, she helps students see themselves as capable, valued members of their community, preparing them for life beyond school with dignity and purpose.
Administrative: Holly Nielsen, principal, Lake Louise Elementary School
At Lake Louise, Holly Nielsen leads a school culture rooted in hope and the belief that every child can grow with positive guidance. She meets each student with kindness and a commitment to their success. Staff members value her as a mentor who develops future leaders and advocates for a healthy work-life balance. By partnering closely with families and working alongside her team, Nielsen leads with steadiness and compassion, creating a school community where students, staff and families feel supported.
