New Episodes of Superintendent Banner’s Video and Podcast Series
Superintendent Banner continues to bring our community into important conversations about student learning and success with new episodes of “Learning with Superintendent Banner” and its companion podcast, “Real Talk with Superintendent Banner,” which gives listeners the opportunity to go deeper into conversations.
In this installment, he visits Custer Elementary School, recognized as the 2025 Best Public School of the South Sound, to explore how strong academic foundations in elementary school prepare students for a successful transition to middle school and beyond. He sits down with Custer principal Kathy Weymiller and educators to highlight the intentional teaching practices, supportive learning environments and high expectations that help students build essential skills in literacy, math and critical thinking.
Together, these episodes reflect CPSD’s commitment to nurturing every child’s growth with purpose and preparing students to be future ready.
