College, Career and Family Summit, Feb. 19
High school students and their families are invited to attend our community partnership event with Pierce College: The College, Career and Family Summit. An event designed to explore life after graduation and the many pathways available to students.
Event Details
- Location: Pierce College, Fort Steilacoom
- Date: Feb. 19
- Program: 5:30 to 7 p.m.
- Doors open at 5 p.m. for the college and job fair to allow students and families to connect with employers.
This free community event provides students and families with the opportunity to hear directly from educators, employers, service members and entrepreneurs while gaining practical information and resources to support post-high school planning.
What to Expect
- Student and parent panel discussions
- Breakout sessions with college and university leaders, military recruiters, industry employers, and small business owners
- Resources focused on the Four E’s of Opportunity:
- Enrollment – Attending a college or university
- Enlistment – Joining the armed forces
- Employment – Entering the workforce after graduation
- Entrepreneurship – Starting and running a business
Dinner and childcare will be provided.
Summit Agenda
- 5:30 – 5:40 p.m. | Welcome
- 5:45 – 6:05 p.m. | Parent & Student Info Sessions and Panels
- 6:10 – 6:40 p.m. | Four E’s Breakout Session Rotations
- Participants may choose sessions and will receive access to materials from all Four E’s.
- 6:45 – 7:00 p.m. | Raffle & Closing
