The City of Lakewood will close 112th Street SW from Bridgeport Way to Gravelly Lake Drive SW on Tuesday, Jan. 20, which will impact access to Clover Park High School, Gravelly Lake K-12 Academy (GLA), Tyee Park Elementary School and Harry E. Lang Stadium and fields. The project will widen the roadway to accommodate a continuous two-way left turn lane, bicycle lanes, sidewalks, streetlighting and stormwater infrastructure. Importantly, it will add a sidewalk and create a school zone for GLA. The project is expected to take five months to complete.  

This closure will affect how families, staff and school buses access our schools. We appreciate your patience as the city works to complete important road and safety improvements in our area. Please call the main community relations office, 253-583-5040, if you have questions about alternate driving directions to affected schools.
