Impact Aid
Impact Aid & Identification of Military Students
Impact Aid, just like local levy funds, helps to provide important resources for teachers, support staff, classroom computers, library books and other supplies and equipment to CPSD.
Section 7003 grants help educate federally connected children. These may be children of members of the uniformed services, children who live on Indian lands, children who live on federal property or federally subsidized low-rent housing, and children whose parent(s) work on federal property.
Impact Aid Student-parent Survey
As a military community, CPSD schools receive annual Impact Aid grants from the Federal Department of Education, which contribute to enriching the educational opportunities of all our students. The amount we receive is based on the number of students who have parents that work or live on federal properties such as Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) or the VA Hospital at American Lake. More than 3,500 CPSD students fall in one or both categories.
Impact Aid student-parent surveys are sent out annually. It is pertinent that parent and student contact information be updated in Skyward Family Access to ensure delivery of communications for the Impact Aid Student-Parent Survey.
