Summer School

2025 Summer School Programs

CPSD Summer School program offerings will look a little different this summer. Due to federal and state funding reductions, the district will be able to serve a smaller number of students during a shortened summer session.

Elementary and middle schools will identify eligible students who have been pre-identified and send invitations directly to parents/guardians. Teachers discussed summer school options with families at parent teacher conferences in March. Registration forms will be sent to eligible students through Inform K12 to the email listed in Skyward.

High school students going into grade 11 and 12 that are credit deficient or seniors who did not graduate will be eligible to register for up to 2 Credit Recovery classes. Counselors will discuss credit recovery options at parent teacher conferences in March. Registration forms will be available to students, parents and counselors via a registration link. Registration opens March 12 and closes May 15.

Summer School will run Monday through Friday from June 23 to July 11 (no school on July 4). Bus transportation, morning snack, lunch and school supplies will be provided.

Elementary School

Elementary Summer School programs will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, at Evergreen and Four Heroes Elementary Schools. Classes will include a science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) focus, with students engaging in a project-based learning unit that incorporates language arts, math, and science. This year, classes are for preidentified students currently completing 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades.

Middle School

The Middle School Summer School program will be held from 9:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., Monday through Friday, at Thomas Middle School. Classes will include a STEM focus, incorporating robotics for pre-identified students completing 6th or 7th grades.

High School

The High School Summer Program will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with an am session from 9:00 am to 11:00am and a pm session from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Monday through Friday at Harrison Prep or Lakes High Schools. Credit Recovery classes are available for students currently completing 10th or 11th grade this school year.
