    School Improvement Plan

    The Lake Louise School Improvement Plan is a comprehensive plan that works within the goals and framework of the Clover Park School District Improvement Plan. Using a variety of school improvement strategies, staff at Lake Louise work hard to increase student achievement in the areas of English Language Arts, Math and Parent Engagement.

    Strategies include increased staff collaboration through work in Professional Learning Communities, the implementation of approved curriculum, teaching using best practices in the classroom and developing partnerships with families and the community.

    Specific goals include an increase of ELA SBA proficiency to 55%, a pass rate of 55% on the WCA Science assessment as well as an increase in parent involvement at Lake Louise in terms of volunteer hours.

    Our school is used throughout the school year during non-school hours by parents, community organizations and recreation groups. The general condition of our school is rated as excellent per the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction scoring guidelines.

    School Improvement Plan

    From Fall 2023 to Spring 2024, all continuously enrolled Lake Louise students in kindergarten - fifth grade will achieve an SGP of 55 or greater as measured by the STAR early literacy or STAR reading assessment. In addition, 75% of all continuously enrolled Lake Louise special education students will show growth by scoring “emerging” or higher on their Literacy IEP goals over the course of the 2023-24 school year. In addition, we will increase our classroom volunteer base (1 volunteer per classroom per week) and parent advisory board (1 per classroom) as well as have these two groups reflect our diverse student population during the 2023-24 school year. Finally, Lake Louise will decrease the number of persistently absent students from 177/463 (38%) to 93/463 (20%) over the course of 2023-24 school year. This would be defined as those missing two or more school days on average per month.
