    School Improvement Plan

    Four Heroes Elementary has outlined data-driven School Improvement Plan (SIP) goals related to the Clover Park School District Improvement Plan (DIP) goals.

    DIP Goal 1: Prepare all students for college and career readiness by increasing academic achievement and closing the gaps in achievement and college readiness. English Language Arts (ELA); Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM); College and Career Readiness (CTE)

    • By June 2020, Four Heroes Elementary will increase the overall ELA proficiency from 32.6% to 50% as measured by SBA.
    • By June 2020, Four Heroes Elementary will increase the overall math proficiency from 26.3% to 50% as measured by SBA.
    • By June 2020, Four Heroes Elementary will increase 5th grade science proficiency from 29% to 40% as measured by WCAS.  

    DIP Goal #2: Increase engagement and communication with families to ensure equitable inclusion of all subgroups. 

    • By June 2020, Four Heroes will increase the amount of after school family engagement opportunities from five (5) events to seven (7) events throughout the school year.

    DIP Goal #3: Create a culture of supportive learning environments for students and staff.

    • By June 2020, 100% of Four Heroes staff will implement the MTSS Tier I trauma-responsive practices created in conjunction David Lewis.

    Our school is used throughout the school year during non-school hours by parents, community organizations and recreation groups. A facility use application is required for use of our facility and can be obtained by calling 253-583-7354. The general condition of our school is rated as excellent per the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction scoring guidelines.

    The percentage of students who graduate from the MLL (Multi-lingual Learners) program will increase from 12% to 15% as measured by the annual WIDA assessment.

    Goal #2: Family Engagement Goal - We will increase opportunities for two-way family involvement and host at least three community events within the given school year.

    Goal #3: Social Emotional Goal - We will use ongoing SEL screener data to ensure students' sense of belonging and safety are meeting/exceeding district averages throughout the school year.
