Describe the path you took from high school graduation to where you are today:

After graduating from Clover Park High School in 1949, I attended the University of Washington and then joined the U.S. Army. In the Army, I was part of the Counter Intelligence Corps.

How did your experiences in Clover Park School District help prepare you for this path?

I was very active in football, basketball and track.

Who was the most influential teacher or administrator to you as a student in the district? Why?

Coach Marty North was my most influential person at Clover Park High School. He was a class act and is still alive and cooking.

Do you have any favorite memories from when you attended school in Clover Park School District?

I enjoyed everything about Clover Park High School. There were only 151 students in my graduating class. I am still active on the reunion committee.

What opportunities exist in your career sector for new graduates? Is postsecondary education required for this field?

I was very driven and from 1975 until retirement, I owned my own small business in the credit card equipment and services industry.
