Everyone has an important safety role!

  • Ensure you are well enough for school
  • Wear a well-fitting face covering/mask (optional)
  • Frequent hand washing/hand sanitizer
  • Maintain social distancing
  • Follow safety protocols and instructions from staff members
  • Parents: It is important to notify your child’s principal if you child is sick, has been exposed to or tested for COVID-19.

COVID-19 Protocols

Safety protocols are in place that are followed by students, staff and visitors to district facilities. In the event a COVID-19 case is reported to the district, the health department will provide guidance on contact tracing, notifications and any additional measures.

  • Individuals who are determined to have potential close contact (within six feet for 15 minutes or more) will be notified.
  • A weekly report of confirmed cases by location will be provided on the district website.

Cleaning and Disinfecting

Schools and buildings are conducting increased daily cleaning and disinfecting of high-traffic areas, doors, counters and places that are high-touch points and very public, as well as horizontal surfaces.

Restrooms, health rooms and drinking fountains are disinfected multiple times during the day. Guidelines and supplies for cleaning desks and tables were provided for each classroom, and staff members clean and sanitize high-touch areas throughout the day. Additionally, buses are cleaned and disinfected twice daily, as well as in between routes.

Masks and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Are Optional

Effective March 14, masks/face coverings are optional on Clover Park School District property. This includes indoors, outdoors and on buses. Masks may be temporarily required in certain situations, such as outbreaks, illnesses. etc. The health department continues to recommend individuals wear well-fitting masks.

  • Staff, students, volunteers and visitors may continue to wear a well-fitting mask indoors, and their individual decisions will be supported.
  • Masks will be available for individuals who request one. Because masks are optional and a personal family decision, the district will not monitor mask wearing.
  • Masks will be required for individuals who exhibit COVID-19 symptoms at a school facility and need to isolate on site.

Staff members may wear personal protective equipment (PPE) commensurate with their role and interaction with others. Information on how to properly put on and take off PPE is available from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention:
