Clover Park School District Resource Guide for Homeless Students and Families

Resources for Homeless Students and Families

Under the federal McKinney-Vento Act, students have the right to remain in attendance at the school they were going to when they became homeless. This is known as their “school of origin”. Clover Park School District will do everything possible to ensure that students have the ability to remain in their school of origin, and to succeed academically. We can provide special District bus transportation as well as free school meals, for all homeless students who request it. Tutoring and other academic assistance, as well as school supplies, and basic clothing needs may be obtained by contacting your child’s school counselor. Other resources for food, clothing, and shelter, are available in the community. This packet contains information about those resources.

To request transportation and free meals, please call
Pam Jones at (253) 583-5154 or [email protected]
