School Improvement Plan

Oakbrook is committed to supporting equity and diversity through the implementation of culturally responsive practices that support our mission, vision, and school plan. Oakbrook is a welcoming and inclusive school that ensures all students feel successful and are ready to contribute to their community.

In partnership with the District Instructional Strategies Committee, Oakbrook staff receive dedicated professional development around diversity, equity, and cultural responsiveness. This work translates to our classrooms through culturally responsive and inclusionary practices.

This work includes the following goals for Oakbrook:

Goal #1: Academic - All Oakbrook students will reach student growth percentiles (SGP) of 50 in reading as seen on the STAR growth report of 2023 through student growth goal setting and parent opportunities to support child(ren) at home and school.

Goal #2: Family Engagement - Through positive two-way communication with all families and providing a welcoming environment, Oakbrook will invite families to participate as equal partners in the education of their child(ren) while also engaging families in the school through parent involvement activities.

Goal #3: Social Emotional - Oakbrook will build on the consistency of school-wide tier 1 supports to include a tiered system of supports (MTSS) to increase authentic student engagement, academic progress, and school connectedness.
