Student, Parent and Community Involvement

At Custer, we recognize that the school functions not only as a place of learning, but also an important part of the neighborhood community. Our staff works together to communicate with our families and the community as a whole.

Our Parent Engagement Team (PET) is extremely active, hosting several events. This year's evens included an 80's night, a Books N Blankets reading night, a Super Bowl themed math night, and Art Exhibition. The goal of the PET is to encourage families to stay involved in their children's school as well as to bring families and community resources together.

Custer's PTO works tirelessly to support the school. The host special events including our Back to School ice cream social and field day at the end of the year. The PTO sells popcorn every Friday and runs two major fund raising events every year.

Custer students give back to the community with funds raised through projects such as Jump Rope for Heart, and food drives.
