Cindy Adams:Assistant Principal
Prior to becoming a Lakes Lancer, Ms. Adams worked at Clover Park High School as an assistant principal from 2008-2012. Over the course of her education career, Ms. Adams worked in the Bethel School District in an alternative program teaching English and Communication Arts. She went on to become the coordinator of the alternative program and summer school. She made the move to a comprehensive school classroom and taught Theatre and directed six productions. Ms. Adams served as Dean of Students before making the move to the Clover Park School District. Ms. Adams’ focus is supporting the Freshmen to success. She is looking forward to working with all students, staff, and parents at Lakes High School.
Ryan Akiyama: Assistant Principal
Prior to joining the Lancer family, Mr. Akiyama worked in North Thurston Public Schools as the NTPS Project Facilitator for the Teacher and Principal Evaluation Project. In addition to supporting the development and implementation of new evaluation systems in NTPS, Ryan served as both a district and association representative to advise various school districts, educational service districts, and uniServ councils throughout the state regarding instructional framework selection, system readiness for state-mandated changes to teacher/principal evaluation, and district-association collaborative leadership. Over the course of his thirteen years as an educator, Ryan has served in support of student learning as a dean of students, department chair, activities coordinator, and coach. In each setting he has been passionately devoted to creating an inclusive school culture where all students can excel. Ryan is excited to strive towards excellence with each member of the Lancer family. Ryan will work with the Sophomore class.
Lysandra Ness: Assistant Principal for 11th-12th Grade

Lysandra comes from South Kitsap High School where she served as administrative intern for the 2011-2012 school year while also serving as the social studies department chair and teacher. Lysandra taught at the high school level for 10 years and 3 years at the middle school/junior high level. She has experience teaching students Social Studies, English, and CTE courses. Lysandra's experience also includes curriculum based assessments, professional development (including professional certification and national board certification) for staff, drop out prevention programs, and enhancing the opportunities for college-bound students.She will work with Juniors and Seniors.
