Students benefit from clothing given by anonymous donor

An anonymous donor has given $30,000 worth of new clothing to Clover Park School District students in need. This is the 28th year the donor has given clothing to students. Clothing items include new jackets, shirts, pants, underwear, socks, shoes, hats and gloves in preschool to adult sizes.

“This donation really helps our students, some of whom would not have new, warm, nice clothing,” said Holly Shaffer, director of student services. “It’s great to see our community members really support our students. It brings the whole school community together.”

Members of the 2-2 Lancer Brigade from Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Clover Park High School JROTC cadets and other volunteers sorted, folded and labeled the clothing. School counselors and other staff members selected and picked up clothing for distribution to students who could benefit from the clothes.
