Clover Park’s Girls Swim Team wins state academic excellence award

Clover Park High School’s Girls Swim Team received the Dairy Farmers of Washington/Les Schwab Tires Scholastic Award and will be in the running for the 2A Swim Academic State Championship. Their cumulative team grade-point average was 3.542 with 16 participants. This is the second academic excellence award the team has earned.

"We’ve been working really hard to keep our grades up,” said team captain senior Kyanna Byrd. "We’re all very supportive of one another."

"All the girls have a great attitude and are very dedicated to their team and their academics," said head coach Jayme Aalona. "I’m very proud of all their efforts."
