About the 2013 Grant

The Department of Defense recently announced three grants from the Office of Economic Adjustment (OEA) totaling nearly $91 million have been approved for Clover Park School District (CPSD) to rebuild Greenwood ($28.6 million), Clarkmoor ($30.9 million) and Beachwood ($31.3 million) Elementary Schools on Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM).

CPSD will manage the construction of the three new schools. Funding from the OEA grants will be supplemented with funding from state school construction assistance program. Together, the new Greenwood, Clarkmoor and Beachwood Elementary Schools will serve 1,550 students in grades pre- kindergarten through fifth.

Construction for the new Greenwood and Clarkmoor Elementary School will occur over the 2013-14 school year. The architect selected for both projects is Integrus and the general contractor/construction management (GC/CM) is Korsmo Construction. Both new schools are anticipated to open for the 2014-15 school year.

Construction of the new Beachwood Elementary will begin in the 2014-15 school year and is anticipated to open in September 2015.
