Bus Emergency Exit Drill Procedures for Transportation

During the first six weeks of each semester, the transportation department will perform a physical emergency exit drill.  The normal entrance/exit service door will be used during the emergency exit drill.  Practice drills will be performed in the bus loading zone of the schools premises.

Building principals will be notified at least three days prior to the scheduled week of drills.

The Director of Transportation will develop an itemized checklist for drivers for use during emergency drills.  Records of completed emergency exit drills will be retained in the transportation department for a period of two years.
