Fund and Charity Drives
Participation in any fund, charity drive or money raising activities by either students or employees shall be entirely voluntary as far as each individual is concerned. There shall be no cause for embarrassment to those who do not or cannot participate or contribute.
Without prior approval of the, superintendent or designee, fund, charity drives and money-raising activities involving students shall be limited to the Junior Red Cross, the March of Dimes, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, and the American Diabetes Association.
Charitable fund raising by students and staff for non-annual special causes or events may be approved by the principals. Specialized causes or events may include disaster relief and community activities. In addition, local charitable fund raising such as Caring for Kids may be approved by the principal.
Merchandising or fund-raising campaigns conducted by students or school employees in the community or away from school premises may not be conducted without prior approval of the district superintendent or designee.
