Revenue from the Federal Government

When the federal interests in education coincide with those of the district, Clover Park School District may elect to participate in programs for which federal funds will be received.

The decision to participate shall be made following analysis of:

  • _ advantages to the students of the proposed program
  • _ additional costs to district in terms of commitment of resources
  • _ impact upon existing programs
  • _ new obligations required

If the decision to participate is made, the district agrees to comply with all federal and state requirements that are conditions of receipt of federal funds.  Compliance includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Maintenance of required program and fiscal records
  2. Practice of prescribed accounting procedures
  3. Participation by eligible students in private schools
  4. Provision for testing to identify participants and to measure program results
  5. Involvement of staff and parents in program planning, budget development and program evaluation as required
  6. Use of programs, when required, to supplement, rather than supplant, existing curriculum offerings
  7. Delivery of programs and services by non-discriminatory practices in regard to race, color, national origin, creed, sex, or handicap
  8. Maintenance of effort, when specified, at or above required levels

In deciding to participate, the district assures comparability of access to resources in, but not limited to, the following ways:

  1. Maintenance of a district-wide salary schedule
  2. Equitable assignment of staff among the schools
  3. Equitable distribution of instructional material among the schools
