Eye Protection

Eye safety devices shall be furnished and maintained by the district and loaned without cost to students, staff and visitors.

Regulations shall be developed to define and identify operations, activities or areas where the use of eye protective devices shall be required.

All eye injuries should be treated by authorized medical personnel unless immediate action by staff is necessary. All eye injuries shall be reported.

Staff should fully analyze the eye hazards involved in activities for which they are responsible and explain to students the need for the type of eye protection specified in the work.
