Possession of Weapons
Students who possess a weapon or carry, exhibit, display or draw any weapon or any item apparently capable of producing bodily harm in a manner which, under the circumstances and at a time and place, manifests intent to intimidate another or warrants alarm for the safety of others shall be subject to discipline, suspension, expulsion or emergency expulsion.
The following steps shall apply:

- For middle
schools and high schools, unless otherwise provided by law, and in cases
involving the possession of a firearm, air gun or items crafted to look like a
firearm, the principal/designee shall, without exception, expel the student.
Students expelled under this policy shall not be considered for re-entry into
regular school programs within the district for a period of one year after the
date of the violation.
