A student who commits an act or participates in an act defined by Federal and/or State law as criminal, will be subject to discipline, suspension, expulsion or emergency expulsion without regard to whether criminal charges result from the act if such act has a reasonable and substantial relationship to the lawful maintenance and operation of the school including, but not limited to, the preservation of the health and safety of students and employees and the preservation of an educational process which is conducive to learning.
All criminal acts committed on school property or at school-sponsored events shall be reported to the appropriate law enforcement agency.
