Equity and Excellence
The Clover Park School District Board of Directors believes that successful schools are schools where the concepts of equity and excellence prevail. Equitable and excellent schools are schools where every student achieves high levels of academic success, is respected and treated fairly, and has no persistent patterns of differences regardless of student’s race, ethnicity, culture, neighborhood, income of parents or home language. The school climate is one where high expectations and respect for students and families permeate all aspects of school life. It is translated into everyone’s focus on children, both in the school and in the community.
Clover Park School District is a district of equitable and excellent schools that work collaboratively and invest in a continuous program of professional development. In our schools, equity and excellence prevail, curriculum standards are high, clear, consistent, aligned with assessment measures and used by all teachers. Our equitable and excellent schools exhibit a clear year-to-year pattern of improvement, and accountability is pervasive throughout the school.
The board acknowledges that school communities and students across the district have unique needs; therefore, resources are distributed in an equitable manner based on school and student needs. In turn, schools utilize the resources equitably.
